There are two things that are different, from the graphic designer’s perspective:
- An ebook cover is a single image of the front of the book, while a print cover for a physical book must also include the images for the back cover and the spine of the book.
- An ebook cover is a lower resolution image (usually 72 dpi), while a book cover for print needs to be a high resolution image (usually 300 dpi).
That’s why it is not possible to “simply add a back and a spine” to an existing e-book cover. The whole thing needs to be recreated from scratch at a high resolution, which also sometimes involves repositioning or adjusting certain elements on the cover.
A Predesigned E-book Cover is a cover image that I have personally designed based on my own inspiration and my own ideas.
I am always on the look-out for high quality stock images and other premium graphics and fonts, and I do love experimenting with my graphic editing programs! The result is often a book cover that I’d feel inspired to create.
The price of Predesigned E-book Covers is very budget-friendly even for indie authors who are just starting out. This is due to the fact that the only adjustments that are going to be made to the cover involve editing the book title and the author’s name (and sometimes minor repositioning of other elements, if needed).
The Predesigned Covers are of the same premium quality as all covers at Book Cover Labs, and very often have taken a lot more time to create than custom covers based on the client’s direct specifications. So if you see a Predesigned Cover that matches your book perfectly – grab it! 🙂
Each Predesigned Cover is sold only once.
After a Predesigned Cover is sold, it is removed from stock and will not be resold again.
So if you have purchased a Predesigned Cover for your book, only YOU will own that cover.
Yes, it would be possible. At the time of your purchase of the Predesigned E-book Cover, simply add a $100 Print Cover Upgrade to your shopping cart. Then after the purchase be sure to fill in the additional form for the Print Book Cover Specs.
